Gardening Gifts for Mom: Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Does your mom love houseplants as much as we do? If she does then she will always be ready for garden tools and accessories to keep her plants and garden looking its best. We’ve got some great gardening gifts for mom and you can be sure that these gifts will be great for any of your green thumb friends!

As avid gardeners there are always tools and gifts that we can use more than one of (gloves especially) and there might even be a few things you hadn’t considered or that your mom hasn’t tried yet!

Whether she’s a beginner or has years of experience with plants you’ll find something on the list that she can use (and probably a few things for yourself too)!

Garden Tool Set – an all in one gift for Mom

If your mom is an avid gardener or is just getting started this is a great tool set at a reasonable price. We think having multiples of every tool is a great idea and this bag makes it easy to keep them together and also has space for other items!

Rolling Plant Trolley

One of our favorite accessories for plants is a rolling plant trolley. Especially one that contains a plastic liner for overwatering (you never do that right?). These are great for moving your plants to clean behind them, rolling them inside and outside and just generally rolling them around!

Garden Gloves

Whether you’re working outside in a garden pulling weeds or inside and repotting plants a great pair of garden gloves is essential. We especially like gloves that have a leather lining on the inside and extra on the fingertips. The fabric lets your hands breathe but the leather makes them tough enough to keep you from getting fingers pricked.

Pots for Plants

You can never have too many pots and whether you’re using them indoor or outdoors there’s no end to how many you can use. We really love the way these purple ones look and for the price and value they’re a great choice for Mother’s Day.

Moisture Meter

If you aren’t confident about watering your plants – or if you own one of those (ahem) finicky plants then a moisture meter is your friend! This makes it easy to see when you actually need to water a plant and if you’ve got an expensive and fancy plant it can be a lifesaver!

Watering Can

You can use lot’s of different vessels to water your plants but a watering can makes it a lot easier to get around the foliage and reach those hanging pots. We are partial to having a collection of watering cans so if you’re wondering if your mom would like another one the answer is yes!

Micro Tip Snips

Scissors will work on some plants but these micro tip snips make a nice clean cut on a plant. Whether you’re removing dead leaves or you’re planning to propagate, you’re going to love these.

Pruners

While the micro tips will work on a lot of plants, if you’ve got palms or other larger houseplants then you’re going to need pruners. These are a great tool for any kind of garden and we’d be lying if we said each house only has one pair.

These are just a few of our favorite gardening tools that we use on a regular basis inside and outside our homes! We hope you found something great on the list for a gift or for yourself!
